The Drums and Barrels musicians are involved in a wide range of projects and groups on the Dutch and international music scene, in a whole host of roles. They have created and performed shows, and even entire programmes, for festivals and special events throughout Europe and even beyond, included the Dutch Film Days in Utrecht.

percussieworkshop Performance Pleinvrees
(Agoraphobia)
) is a composition of Onno van Swigchem and Hermine Schneider. It was performed as the closing act of the 4 days jazzfestival of the 30th anniverary of the Sju Jazzpodium on the Neude square in Utrecht. 'Pleinvrees' was specially composed for this occasion and performed by over a hundred musicians. It was conducted from a tower wagon. Click Here

Het Overbrugpodium
(The Bridge Podium)
With this performance the TART organisation (Tart is the Dutch word meaning challenge) wants to challenge musicians on a boat and musicians and the audience on the canal bridges over the Oudegracht in Utrecht with short musical confrontations. Director Hermine Schneider, trumpetist and composer on the boat tries to create a bridge between the music of different cultures with the cooperation of Frederike de Winter (marimba) and the saxophone orchestra Tutti Saxi.
